Affiliate disclosure

Last updated October 20, 2026.

Some links to card applications may be affiliate links. If you apply through one, we may earn a commission, at no cost to you. This never affects rankings, which come only from what each card earns.

How rankings work

Every ranking on the site and in the app comes from each card’s published earn rates, its caps and typical point values, worked out the same way for every card. Whether a card has an affiliate link plays no part, no issuer pays to be listed or placed, and cards without a link are ranked exactly the same way.

Only the “Card details at” links that lead to a card’s page at its issuer can be affiliate links. They’re all marked as sponsored for search engines, whether or not they pay. A commission never changes the card’s rates, fees or approval odds, and applying through our link costs you nothing extra.

Cookies

An affiliate network or the issuer may set its own cookies once you follow a link, to record that you came from Card Optimizer. The privacy policy has the details.
